Somme de variables aléatoires discrètes indépendantes

Théorème : Produit de convolution discret ou loi de la somme

Soit $(X,Y)$ un couple de variables aléatoires discrètes indépendantes définies sur un espace probabilisé $(\Omega,\mathcal{A},\mathbb{P})$. Alors :
$$\ds\forall z\in(X+Y)(\Omega),\;\mathbb{P}(X+Y=z)=\sum_{\substack{x\in X(\Omega)\\ z-x\in Y(\Omega) } }{\mathbb{P}(X=x)\times\mathbb{P}(Y=z-x)}$$

Exemple

Soit $X$ et $Y$ deux variables aléatoires indépendantes d'un même espace probabilisé $(\Omega,\mathcal{A},\mathbb{P})$ et suivant toute la même loi $\mathcal{G}(p)$. Déterminer la loi de $X+Y$.

Théorème : Somme de deux lois usuelles indépendantes

Soit $X_{1}$ et $X_{2}$ deux variables aléatoires discrètes indépendantes d'un espace probabilisé $(\Omega,\mathcal{A},\mathbb{P})$.

  • Soit $p\in\left]0,1\right[$ et $(n_{1},n_{2})\in(\N^{*})^{2}$. Si $X_{1}\hookrightarrow\mathcal{B}(n_{1},p)$ et $X_{2}\hookrightarrow\mathcal{B}(n_{2},p)$ alors :
    $$\ds X_{1}+X_{2}\hookrightarrow\mathcal{B}(n_{1}+n_{2},p)$$
  • Soit $(\lambda_{1},\lambda_{2})\in\left]0,+\infty\right[^{2}$. Si $X_{1}\hookrightarrow\mathcal{P}(\lambda_{1})$ et $X_{2}\hookrightarrow\mathcal{P}(\lambda_{2})$ alors :
    $$\ds X_{1}+X_{2}\hookrightarrow\mathcal{P}(\lambda_{1}+\lambda_{2})$$
